LSPA shares its experience at the international conference in Taiwan.
On the 4th and 5th October 2016 Mrs Edite Kalnina, the Director of the Latvian School of Public Administration (LSPA), has participated in the international conference held in Taipei (Taiwan) on the human resource development in the public administration with a lecture on "Human Resources Strategy for Public Administration - the Challenges of the Future".
The conference was organized by Taiwan's Civil Service Protection and Training Commission in order to learn recent tendencies in human resource development in the public administration and to share the latest and the most successful worldwide examples of the matter. There were also invited several speakers from the European Commission and from the National Institute of Public Administration of Japan in the quality of experts on the subject.
The conference was very beneficial to Latvia and several important goal were achieved: Latvian experience of public administration in human resource development got promoted and popularized, new ideas were collected to enhance the development of LSPA training strategy for the years 2017-2019 and a new cooperation process was launched with the National Academy of Public Administration which is in charge of organizing trainings and the examinations within the classical civil service career model.
